Frequently Asked Questions about CISM Courses and Activities

1. Are courses recorded? Can I access the lessons after they have taken place?
Advanced Courses are not recorded. Instead, we offer a live-streaming service for the lessons. Any course recordings will be promptly announced through the course information page on the CISM website.

2. Where are CISM courses held?
All courses take place at the CISM headquarters at Piazza Garibaldi 18 in Udine. Any venue changes will be communicated through the course information page on the CISM website.

3. How many ECTS credits can be assigned for CISM courses?
ECTS credits are not directly assigned by CISM. The determination of credits varies from institution to institution. We recommend consulting your Institute or tutor for guidance. Typically, universities assess credits based on the course duration. For example, one week of intensive coursework may equate to 2.5 ECTS in some institutions, while others may offer different credit values.

4. Will I receive a certificate of participation after the course?
Yes, all participants will receive a certificate of participation upon completion of the course.

5. What should I include in the "billing" field?
If you wish the invoice to be addressed to you personally, please provide your personal and tax information. Alternatively, if you prefer the invoice to be issued in the name of your university or organization, please provide the complete address and corresponding VAT number. If you do not have this information, we recommend contacting the administration of your institution, who will be able to provide all necessary details. This will help avoid any billing errors that may be difficult to rectify later.

6. My university/organization requires specific information for the invoice. How can I provide it?
You can provide all necessary information in the notes field of the first step of registration. Additionally, any changes or additions can be promptly communicated via email to info@cism.it before the invoice is issued. To avoid confusion, we recommend avoiding multiple registrations for the same course by a single participant.

7. When I click on the "Choose your payment method" link received via email after registering for a course, I am unable to proceed with payment.
To proceed with payment, you must wait for the registration to be approved by the CISM Secretariat. After approval, you will be able to use the link and complete the transaction (make sure to log in to the CISM website with the same credentials used for registration).

8. Where can I find the slides and documents for the courses?
The slides and documents, once available, are published in the private area of each course. Access is reserved for participants who are correctly registered and have paid the fee.


Frequently Asked Questions about CISM guest house accommodation

1. How can I book a room at the CISM guest house?
Reservations must be made by sending an email to foresteria@cism.it. The email inbox is monitored from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Requests sent to different email addresses or during non-working hours may not receive a prompt response.

2. Who can use the CISM guest house?
The accommodation is reserved for direct guests of the Center participating in CISM courses and activities. It is also available to professors, students, and researchers affiliated with other cultural institutions in Udine, who need to stay in Udine for work or study purposes. In case of overlapping requests, priority is given to CISM guests.

3. What are the check-in and check-out times for the guest house?
Check-in is possible from 2:00 pm onwards, with no time limitations. As for check-out, it must be done by 10:00 am on the day of departure. It is important to note that a access code is required to enter the accommodation, which will be sent via email after making the reservation. Please note that there is no physical reception service.

4. Can I cook in the guest house?
The accommodation does not have a kitchen for meal preparation, and the use of electric stoves is not allowed to avoid activating the fire alarm system.

5. Is there a luggage storage service?
